Monday:
Attended the launch of the George Malcolm/Jose P. Laurel Constitutional Law Society. We had a pretty neat crowd for cocktails, lots of freshmen, all inducted to the organization. Guests included Dean Pangalangan, Senator Salonga, and Justice Mendoza.
Tuesday:
Slept over at Viben’s house. Reviewed for an exam in constitutional law. From Marbury v. Madison to Francisco v. House. I was blessed to be in a pretty tight study group. We were able to cover the material before midnight, AND discuss love-lives (or lack thereof). Had an interesting discussion with Roy on post-post-Marxism. Hearty breakfast.
Wednesday:
Faced Hilbay’s 10-question/100 point exam on threshold requirements of constitutional adjudication. I know, I know. A very merry Christmas to him as well. Attended Malcolm Madness, the traditional year-end variety show where we spoof our professors. And I thought I had pretty mean thoughts about the profs—the upperclassmen were just dishing it below the belt. All piss and poison.
After the madness we convoyed to Mon’s house for our block party(photos soon). Almost got hammered, but the prospect of coming back to the church/boarding house piss-drunk was NOT attractive, so I set my limits and drank a lot of coffee before the sun set. Besides, you know how it is when I get weird dreams. Extrapolate from that and you get an idea how I am drunk.
Thursday:
Slept the sleep of the just. I dreamt of Karl Popper. He told me about tentative truths and my responsibility not to be cruel. This is what I get from two days of review, examination, madness, and coldschlagger with few hours of sleep in between.
Friday:
Went home to Bulacan. Grabbed more sleep. Shopped for a suitable gift for The Girl. Ex Girl. Friend. Whatever. It’s complicated, you see. When I figure the half of it and I get the time to set it down into writing, I will post an entry.
