Dear Blogosphere,
So the salary for the last three months of working as a lowly lecturer (13k) has arrived, and I’m thinking of getting myself a phonecam or a digital camera because yes, I want to do the whole this is my life in pictures moblog/flickr thing, finally. I’m not out to make art, I just want more stuff on my blog. Any recommendations?

If you can wait for the K800, it’s going to be a sweet camphone. If you can’t, Sony and Canon have 7mp that are pretty good too.

Small budget? Used Canon 300D (if you can still find one), or a brand new Pentax *ist DL (if you can find one, too. Syempre, DSLR.

hi emerson, try checking out phonescoop.com for a list of nice cam fones. it’s mostly complete..hehe, wala pa dun yung 6680(?) that i’m eyeing eh. but you can compare fone features, or identify mo ung gusto mo features and it will recommend the phones that has those. Gamit namin yan dati sa call center, hehe.

w550i? [15k at greenhills] w800i? has flash and lots of space. dont buy a big ass “veronica mars” type camera -it’s not great for taking candid or clandestine shots [unless you really want to look like a major stalker]

thinking of a gentle introduction to this whole digital pictures thing. probably just a camphone (a k600 or k750i), and then a real digital camera once i get my super secret project grant
