So I watched the first Matrix movie this time in HD. I realized that it has been at least ten years since the movie first came out, which kinda makes it a classic.
1. It can still be a consciousness-elevating mindfuck. Question everything.
2. Knowing what we know now, we can’t help but feel sorry for Morpheus. Sorry for all of the Zionites. ‘Nuff said.
3. If I didn’t see it before, it would have been impossible to tell how things would turn out based on the first half of the movie. After all these years, it can still jar you. I remember when I first saw it, I was thinking: Hnn, must be one of those European movies…
4. Considering how far the first movie went so far with so little, the sequels would always be a disappointment.
