Aren’t quite here yet. There’s the certiorari petition to the Supreme Court to worry about (Hint: it’s all about the Ombudswoman’s Really Bad Decision). And the paper on Election Law (with this Ombudswoman, under this administration, why bother?) To stay sane and happy with my work I installed Ubuntu Linux. Because if you have to work in the coal mines, at least you have to work with the most enjoyable shovel possible. To my 5 or so readers: Access to the site might go funky soon. I’ve been advised that we’ll be switching servers. Hopefully, this will be as painless as possible. Meanwhile, you can check out the blogs that I read, or view my growing collection of links.  I’m doing the Flickr thing now. I’ll think of a smoother way of integrating it with my blog after the finals. Any suggestions? Testing and fiddling with automatically crossposting my entries from hereon to a livejournal. This is thanks to the wonderful LJXP plugin. I know, I know. I think I’ve given LJ users some grief before, but the truth is that I’ve been secretly in love with the platform and its social networking features. I want to make my content available to LJ-based communities and I do admire LJ-users for being such an active amiable bunch. So there. Really significant upgrade, with lots of new features and under-the-hood improvements. I’m tempted to just go ahead and upgrade (I’m a sucker for point-oh releases), but the more prudent path is to have my dbase backed up, check my plugins for compatibility, and wait for post-launch bug fixes. UPDATE: Went ahead with it anyway. Something seems to be buggy with the comments. Please stand by… |
