Fwd Mail Dep’t.
by mcg
Got this from a friend (hi kf!). I’m a big fan of history and I think this is a pretty cool collection. We rarely have local spoken word recordings and this is a double treat. If anybody’s interested in ordering you can email daphne@platypus.ph. And no, I’m not connected with the people behind this project so please don’t ask me for details. I just think this is cool. Personally I want to hear Leo Martinez read Erap’s speech. :)
Dear Friends:
We will be launching our Maiden Project on September 7, at 6:30 pm, in the RCBC Tower 2 Lobby. Cocktails. I wish all of you who are in Manila could be there to lend the honor of your presence to the event.
I’d also like to ask for your support for this project by pre-ordering some copies for yourself, your loved ones, or for your outreach.
The publication is entitled “20 Speeches that Moved a Nation” and as you can guess, it is an Audio Book. It is a 5-CD set that features significant and moving speeches from Rizal, Conrado de Quiros, Joker Arroyo, Cory Aguino, Erap Estrada, Lope Ka Santos, and a whole range of other villains and heroes, who left their mark on our nation, through the Spoken Word. I’m pasting a whole list of all the speeches to the end of this email.
The speeches are not the original recordings, where there actually is a recording, but revitalized editions rendered by some of local celebrities of stage and screen like: Cherry Pie Picache, Subas Herrero, Eric Quizon, Janno Gibbs, Audie Gemora, Bart Guingona and many others.
The 5-CD Set, at P1,800 per set (USD 60 plus shipping and handling for those of you abroad), on such a significant theme and with such substantial talent is, I believe, a bargain. We are coming out with a limited first run so if you could please let me know before the end of August how many copies you will be getting, I can guarantee you a copy.
We can also accommodate bulk orders at preferential for companies that would like to use this set as a Christmas gift for their special clients, or if your business or church organization would like to donate this set, as your outreach, to public schools that should have a copy of this publication as a historical resource.
This special pre-selling price though is valid only up to the end of August. After the launch, we will be selling the set at P2,500 per set, so please reserve your copy of History now.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you at our Launch!
