Some pictures from the photo spa Petite and I attended. More at the wedding site. It was a gift from one of her friends. It was fun although it was strange - for me at least - not to mug and make faces in front of the camera and just stay still. This is probably my last glam shot you'll ever see.

Here's one for the people having an 80s themed Christmas Party. (You know who you are...) Retrocrush lists some bad costumes from characters of the 1980s. Personally I like the Easy Reader costume. The mask looks so much like Morgan Freeman. The Tattoo (Fantasy Island) and the Rubik's Cube costumes are just plain freaky.

Back when I was working as a dot-commie, when a lot of people thought online advertising was a viable business model for a third world start-up, profiling visitors on the website was the Holy Grail of applications. I've had this one for weeks. Like Little Earthquakes and Under the Pink before it, Tori Amos' Scarlet Walk seduces you into it's own reality. Shady's not only the one who's back in town. I love listening to A Sorta Fairytale (of course!), Mrs. Jesus, Taxi Ride and the sweet Gold Dust. Gone are the long harpischord stretches of From the ChoirGirl Hotel and To Venus & Back. ...

Also last week I finally found a copy of Dragonlance: The Annotated Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman at the former Page One. Although I must admit I got this one for pure nostalgia (I first read it from book fiend Budj years ago...back in grade school), it nevertheless gave me a certain joy at reading characters and felt like I was catching up with like old friends. ...

I missed the screening of the Ring trilogy at this year's Cinemanila filmfest. I was curious at the buzz surrounding the movie when it came out as well as hungry for anything other than Hollywood produced. Of course the possibility of getting it on DVD was there but where can you find a local store carrying titles like that? (Without charging an arm and a leg I mean...) Imagine ...
