While there has to be a good reason how Luke and Leia became living, breathing organisms, Lucas handled the Anakin-Padme romance in Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones like a drunken forklift driver picking up a crateful of eggs - it was quite a mess.

Reasons Why Sex and the City is the new Star Trek
Here's my theory: what Star Trek is to guys (and to some women), Sex and the City is to women (and to some men). Both shows have attracted a passionate fan-base and subject to countless hours of water-cooler/bar/lying-in -green-field-under-the-stars discussion.
