Diagnosis: Gay!
Back when I was working as a dot-commie, when a lot of people thought online advertising was a viable business model for a third world start-up, profiling visitors on the website was the Holy Grail of applications.
Imagine, being able to know the tastes of your audience by checking on the pages they’ve read! Wow! Profiling would be able to let you know if your visitors prefer Coke over Pepsi, cheese over peanut butter, FPJ, Bangungot ng Bayan, over Gloria…
It seems like accurate profiling still remains as elusive as proving there are statesmen left in government. TiVo, essentially a digital VCR which allows you to record your favorite tv programs is still having problems profiling its customers. Apparently if you watch too many Will and Grace episodes, TiVo will think you’re gay– not that there’s anything wrong with that — and record other similarly themed programs.

Speaking of gay, Marvel Comics is re-introducing Rawhide Kid, the “first openly gay title character” in comics.
And on our very own shores we have Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni ZsaZsa Zaturnnah by Carlo Vergara hitting the comic book stores this December. Think Darna…only she’s a he. Hilarity ensues.

yang bagong approach ng marvel sa Rawhide kid e parang gumagamit lang sila ng shock treatment. ke gay o ke lesbian o kahit pedophile pa yung character kung si ron zimmerman naman ang pagsusulatin nila ganun din. sa umpisa lang maganda kasi parang novelty. pag tagal, masasanay na yung mga bumabasa na “oo nga gay sya…so?”
