Blogging Out
Sci-fi novelist William Gibson is giving up blogging:
“I?ve found blogging to be a low-impact activity, mildly narcotic and mostly quite convivial, but the thing I?ve most enjoyed about it is how it never fails to underline the fact that if I?m doing this I?m definitely not writing a novel ? that is, if I?m still blogging, I?m definitely still on vacation. ”

That’s why he writes sci-fi. Surreal. Unreal. Far out.

One of my favorite bargain book finds: Gibson’s “Neuromancer” for 50 pesos, in a used book shop in the UP Diliman Shopping Center.
I hope Neil Gaiman will continue to write in his online journal. It doesn’t seem to be affecting his output. (Been jonesing for a copy of “Caroline” since I found out about it.)
I wish Greg Egan would start a blog.
