Weekend Read: Endless Nights

For Vertigo’s 10 year anniversary, DC comics asked Sandman creator Neil Gaiman to write stories revisiting the Endless. The project became Endless Nights. Aside from commemorating a groundbreaking series, Vertigo puts together the best artists in the world working with Gaiman: Glenn Fabry, Milo Manara, Dave McKean, Miguelanxo Prado, Frank Quitely, P. Craig Russell, Bill Sienkiewicz, Barron Storey.

It’s easy to rave about this book. The art alone is quite worth it. Manara doing Desire? Siekiewicz’s painting the Delirium story? Storey doing portraits of Despair? What’s not to like? Of course Gaiman’s writing still manages to evoke memories why I enjoyed the Sandman series so much.
