It Might be Good News
Just when I thought Kris and Joey will be our own version of Bennifer what with their very public talk of buying Porsches and campaigning for elections when the latest chapter of their relationship hit the news today. Ninoy’s youngest filed charges against Joey for allegedly pulling a gun on her.
Why is it good news? While I do not condone violence against women as it is being alleged in this case, Kris might be better off without Mayor Joey. If they are indeed over, at least the country gets a respite from having the spectre of having a Senator Joey Marquez wrought upon us. How will Marquez survive the latest controversy? He will be hard pressed to explain the bruises on Kris’ arms and neck. And I’m sure we will be hearing a lot more from Kris and her camp in the next few days.
Marquez, ever the macho-guy (let’s not even talk about his previous relationships), was quoted:
Because being gay or being called gay even though you know it’s not true, is you know, bad. And then (translation mine):
?Nagkar’on lang po kami ng konting tampuhan at selosan. Dahil sa babae, alam n?yo naman po ang babae malakas ang boses, pinakinggan ko lang. At pagkatapos ay umalis,? he said. (We had a tiff. Being a woman, she raised her voice, I just listened and then left.)
What a guy. And here he was worried about Kris tearing him down publicly. I think he’s doing well on his own. I’m sure he’d look out for women’s rights if he gets to a higher office.
Ironic too that while Kris’s career certainly benefitted from her text-powered gameshow, it was also a text message which has caused this recent kink in her life.

It has politics, showbiz, AND technology! What’s not to blog? er like? :) Besides, PGMA playing coy about whether or not she’ll run in 2004 is getting tiresome. Bayani Fernando running in 2004? Cheating in the Bar Exams? Another day in the Philippines. Might as well go for the most surreal.

God! kadiri naman si kris,yuck!!STD aray!Well,now matuto na sya.. She can’t just have sex without protection,knowing joey , sex-maniac. I like kris, I really do. I felt sorry for her, she can’t live without a man in her life. But please naman kris pick a descent man naman and make sure na walang sabit.
