A Libran Saturday
Just got back from watching Rex Navarrette at Music Museum. He did an amazing set which lasted 2 hours without an intermission. As Johnny Carson would say: Funny shtuff!
It reminds me of the DVD Comedian which features Jerry Seinfeld and how he went back to the comedy club circuit to try out his new material (after he abandoned his old jokes). Stand-up comics, as it turns out, are like athletes: they try stand-up for 5 mins, adding a few more minutes next time they take the stage until they come up with a full act.
Anyway, Rex is as usual, funny. New materials folks! And to Rex fans out there, his three cds have been locally published and are available at Tower/Music One (that’s where I saw them).
The company I was with was great. I can’t say the same for yours truly. I’ve been distracted for most of the day and coming into the show. Actually, there have been a lot of things weighing on my mind the whole week. Maybe it’s just the holidays coming up.
They say girls change their haircut whenever they feel frustrated over one aspect of their lives which beyond their control. I guess I change blog layouts whenever I feel that way. Heh.

Hi Mona! It wasn’t SRO but the place was full. His mom was there. He had new materials different from last year’s gig. Funny pa rin! :)
