A Pinoy Blog About Nothing

Time for an explanation. The site went offline last week because my domain wholesaler went belly-up. Yup, they went bankrupt. No email whatsoever about it. And so, when I tried renewing my domain name, they couldn’t do it for me. I had to go to the new guys which bought parts of my original wholesaler’s business and prove I’m the legit owner of the domain. It took some assist from the missus and a better part of last week to look for the proper contacts and sort it all out.

I admit it’s also partly my fault since I really should’ve done the renewal months before the expiry date. At least the domain wasn’t hijacked by a pr0n site. I seem to have a run of bad luck with that wholesaler. Two years ago, I ran into a different set of problems when I tried renewing my domain. Heh. My blog just outlived a dot com company.

Anyway, the site’s back online although I’d probably extend my break and go into hiatus for a couple of weeks to think about stuff and get some overdue things done and maybe slip a (proper) redesign somewhere in there. Expect some new things from the regulars and a couple of new people on board soon too.
