Snapshots
Ever since I’ve started this blog, I’ve crossed paths with a variety of people. Some are very smart, talented, thoughtful individuals. Others just plain nuts. Or wacky. Or delusional. Sometimes scary. It offers quite a varied mixed. There are those who will turn you off with some of their postings and promise not to check up again and some whose entries make you come back time and again. I’ve been able to start friendships which are slowly being built and strengthened over distances and cultures and I’m sure I’ve pissed off my fair share of people…but yeah that’s how it goes.
Anyway, I’m personally drawn to sites which have insightful commentary as well as creatively executed pages. If you find one which you can relate to, it can be a very rewarding and pleasant experience. Junnie’s Memento is one such blog.
Petite and I have never met Junnie and his wife Mitzi but they were generous enough to share their travels and experiences through their site. Some of their experiences run parallel to our own and that’s enough to bring us some degree of comfort. See it isn’t just the beautiful pictures of places and things but it’s also how Junnie relates to these things. He challenges you to make more out of what that picture of a blue sky or of those children playing or even out of a damn pile of snow which Junnie genuinely likes. It’s the world through his eyes, yes, but he’s letting you borrow his magic goggles.

..for a while there I thought I had to go up the stage and accept a Lifetime Award for Something.
..there’ r people in our lives that we havent met and are doing a lot towards that eventful day…yours and petite’s are among their at the top…the best ones my wife and i will cherish, and being in North Am almost at the same time, can only mean one thing….pareho tayong nilalamig.

Mark, yun lang ba? that’s a big thing for me to read what you wrote…thanks again…i was able to make it din naman…thanks to westjet. next time, no more no frills airlines for me….sayang $ 0.01 lang yung flight ko…but reimbursed din naman ng Mastercard. So quits…
