These babies finally arrived today. I know you young’uns are thinking “what’s the big deal?” Well, for us who are older than you it’s almost as good as a ticket to see a reunited Beatles. (And if you don’t know who the Beatles are then I have nothing but pity for you.)
Ever since I heard the Police were reuniting for a tour, I knew we should be watching at least a show. I got to watch Sting when he was in Manila and I was hoping I could catch his show again with the wife. Lolo Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland still rocked Roxanne hard during the last Grammy Awards and I knew it’s going to be a great show. I wasn’t surprised when the band continued to sell out stadiums as soon as the tickets went on sale. I’ve had bad luck with huge shows like this in the past. It’s either you pay to join the fan club or pay through the nose from other sources. We got lucky with the Best Buy Rewards program and we got pre-sale access. Last I checked, the Oakland date is already sold out and other ticket sellers like stubhub and ticketsnow are selling the tickets at twice its original price. So yes, I’m a happy fan!

chong, bought 2 too. tickets for 3rd gig in Toronto just opened a few hours ago… i also have an auction bid for floor seats, baka sakali, at matalsikan ng pawis ni Lolo Sting.
