Generally Speaking
I got a chance to meet Major General Antonio Taguba at the Pistahan in SF. He was the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade. He’s only the second Filipino-American to achieve the rank of General in the US Army. If you’re not familiar with the name, you might know about Abu Ghraib Prison. Taguba’s name has been linked to the notorious incident at that prison when he delivered a report in the US Senate detailing the abuses that went on in Abu Ghraib. There were consequences of course — he was asked to retire by January 2007.

It’s rare to find integrity in people in positions of power. Shame that the people at the Pistahan mobbed Martin Nievera instead of this man.
