Pasha Baba

I had my first meal in Australia in a mall called Westfield. I wanted to try something more Australian, but the other aunts from the Philippines were not as adventurous as I am. They opted to try out Pasha Baba which served beef/ lamb or chicken in a pita or lebanese bread. In other words shawarma.

Instead of using a knife to cut the pieces of meat they use an electric shaver. I got chicken with taboule ( some green stuff made up of mint, corriander and a lot of other vegetables)

The serving was quite big, it was twice the size of the regular shawarma that we usually have here in ABS. The second time I ordered it I got the kiddie size, again it was way to big than the normal shawarma.

I skipped lunch before going to the airport. I had this uneasy feeling that something bad might happen to my stomach the moment the plane takes off. I left Manila at 8PM then transit to Hongkong going to Sydney. 20 minutes after take off we were given hot food :) I was hesitant at first knowing how bad airplane food can be.

We had fish with black bean sauce with rice and vegetables. Sarap :) . So on the next flight going to Sydney, I had to taste again what was for late dinner and breakfast. I had fish again around 10 pm, then they served chicken and noodles for breakfast. It was so good! It had sesame oil and the saltiness was just right. Thank God I took Cathay Pacific :)
