Food and Wine
Feed me, wine me, love me. It was usually what Micky told me when we would talk about good food, really good wine and good company (or should I say a good Man). My friend and I went to Cav last night, Cav is small restaurant and wine shop in Bonifacio High Street.
From the menu, you can choose if you want a 3 or 4 course meal. My friend and I agreed to have a 3 (Php 800++) and 4 course meal (Php 1200++). The 4rth was dessert so agreed that we can share since it was a platter of cheese. I had Yellow fin tuna with a salad and nori for my appetizer then my soup had caviar, for my main course I had different cuts of lamb. My friend had Arugula salad, I forgot what the soup was and for the main course it was Magret of Duck. I kept a mental note that the next time I’m going to have the duck. To finish the meal we had wine and cheese
really good cheese with grapes and figs and some walnuts.

The fun part was we get to choose our wines. You have to option to pay for the glasses of wines that can be paired with your meal, but you have to try the wine vending machines. Upon entering the restaurant you will find bottles encased in glass. A person or a table will be given a card, swipe the card then choose from the different white and red wines. You can either choose from tasting, half or full. What’s nice about it is you get to see how much per glass of wine is. The wines ranged from P400 to P15,000. Tastings we are low as P25 to P150. I tried a lot, some I had in tasting portions that others in half glasses. I got to try Beringer, Hardys, Gago and the rest I forgot.
By the end of the evening I was tipsy and really glad that I met up with my friend. I surely want to go back.
